Expansion is a word that can denote fear, excitement and bring on such an adrenaline rush that you and the leadership volunteers jump into a campaign without really reviewing what tools are going to be needed.
First, let’s decide if you are ready to begin your capital campaign.

Does your agency have a:

  • long-range plan?
  • good donor base?
  • adequate staff and equipment?
  • list of potential major donors?
  • board whose members are involved and informed?

If you cannot answer YES to the above questions – not a problem. We will do some pre-campaign work so that your Capital Campaign can be truly successful.

If you can answer YES to all the questions – then let’s move ahead! Building a successful campaign has several major steps that ejIMPACT will climb with you.

STEP 1 : Feasibility Study
This is when we lay the foundation for the campaign by building a solid case statement.
STEP 2 : Campaign Leadership
Now we locate the campaign leadership – where are they, who are they and will they support us?
STEP 3 : Gift Table
This will be the road map on how to complete a successful campaign. What are the financial needs of the project? Do all donations need to be received in one year? Can we accept pledges and for how long?
STEP 4 : Identification and Solicitation
Who should we ask? Who will make the "ask"? Who will train the volunteer solicitors? When you work with ejIMPACT you will have the edge – because an ejIMPACT professional will join your team on any and all of the major gift presentations. This will support the training of the team and will make the “ask” easier for the volunteer.
STEP 5 : Wrap-Up
Everything is done. Is it? Do we ever go back to any of the major donors? When? For what? How?
