With their events at an all time high, Maria R. Anan, Executive Vice President of the Raritan Bay Healthcare Foundation, realized that to keep her income sources diversified she needed to evaluate the individual donor giving history. Working in partnership with the major gift/planned giving staff of ejIMPACT they began to design an 18-month program to enlarge their individual donor participation.

Initially, Maria and Ellen Donohue, President of ejIMPACT evaluated the existing Planned Giving program – what was available to potential donors and the number of participants that took part in each component of the program. Based on their findings and working with the staff and leadership volunteers of the Foundation, the Planned Giving program was updated and unveiled to the community at a sold out Estate Planning luncheon.

A donor of the Foundation, who is also a financial planner, was the presenter at our luncheon. He presented the latest tax updates and gave the audience the resources they needed to evaluate their personal objectives and needs, their financial goals and what gift plans best accomplished these goals for their family and our Foundation.

Maria and ejIMPACT have now identified members for their newly formed Planned Giving Committee. Their goal is to provide a structured plan in support of the community in evaluating and developing the planned giving resources for their:

• Bequest – Benefit your family and organization with a will
• Pledge – Guarantee your pledge through your estate
• Living Trust – A satisfying commitment today, preserving control and security for tomorrow
• Retirement Plan – A simple and sound gift option
• Charitable Lead – Maintain wealth while giving income
• Life Insurance – Convenience and flexibility in giving

Maria knew the Foundation needed to secure another income source which is when she decided to contact ejIMPACT. The foresight of Maria and her leadership volunteers will allow them to grow another income source and support the work being accomplished at Raritan Bay Medical Center.
